River Road Academy is for homeschool families who want a consistent, teacher-led program that provides academic structure and community while allowing parents to remain the primary educators.

It is best suited for families who are committed to regular attendance, partnership with teachers, and completing any needed homeschool work outside of academy days.

River Road Academy meets on Mondays and Wednesdays during the school year.

This is a structured, drop-off program. Because classes are teacher-led and follow a consistent schedule, students are expected to attend for the full academy day rather than come and go as they please.

River Road Academy will focus on core academic support and Christ-centered learning. Subjects may include:

  • Reading and writing
  • Math
  • Science
  • Bible
  • Enrichment activities
  • Art, projects, or hands-on learning opportunities

Final class offerings may depend on student enrollment, staffing, and age group needs.

Specific class groupings will be determined based on student ages, academic needs, and the number of enrolled students.

Tuition is:

$150 per student per month

Tuition is paid from September through June, for a total yearly tuition amount of:

$1,500 per student

A $50 non-refundable registration fee per student is required to reserve a spot.

No. The registration fee is non-refundable.

Because staffing, classroom planning, materials, and class placement are based on enrollment, the registration fee reserves your child’s spot and helps cover administrative and planning costs.

No. Families are committing to the full school year.

The monthly payment option is a payment plan for the full yearly tuition amount, not a month-to-month enrollment option.

By enrolling, families agree to the full annual tuition amount of $1,500 per student, paid in monthly installments of $150 from September through June.

River Road Academy hires teachers and plans classes based on enrollment. A yearly commitment allows us to provide a stable, consistent, well-staffed program for families.

This also helps protect the ministry from unexpected financial strain if families withdraw after staffing decisions have been made.

Families should contact academy leadership as soon as possible if they are considering withdrawal.

Because staffing and class planning are based on enrollment, families remain responsible for tuition according to the tuition agreement signed at registration.

At this time, River Road Academy does not offer scholarships or financial aid.

Classes are taught by qualified teachers, ministry leaders, or approved instructors who align with the mission and values of River Road Baptist Church.

All paid staff and volunteers serving with students are subject to church approval and required safety procedures.

Yes. River Road Academy intends to compensate teachers for their work. Because the academy is a ministry of River Road Baptist Church, teacher payment and staffing will be handled through the church’s approved accounting and payroll process.

Curriculum choices may vary by subject and class level. River Road Academy will prioritize resources that are academically helpful, developmentally appropriate, and consistent with the Christian mission of the program.

Families will receive more specific curriculum information before the start of the school year.

No. Families do not need to be members of River Road Baptist Church to apply.

However, families should understand that River Road Academy is a Christian ministry of the church, and the program will be taught from a biblical worldview.

Families do not need to be church members, but they should understand and respect that River Road Academy operates as a ministry of River Road Baptist Church.

Parents will be asked to acknowledge the Christian nature of the program and agree not to undermine the biblical instruction or ministry mission of the academy.

We desire to serve families well and will consider each student’s needs individually.

Because River Road Academy is a small teacher-led program, we may not be able to provide specialized services, one-on-one support, or accommodations beyond our staffing capacity. Parents should share any academic, behavioral, medical, or developmental needs during the application process so we can determine whether the program is a good fit.

River Road Academy is designed to be a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment.

Students are expected to follow classroom expectations, respect teachers and classmates, and participate appropriately. If significant or ongoing behavioral concerns arise, academy leadership will partner with parents to address them. In some cases, the academy may determine that the program is not the right fit for a student.

Families should plan to send any needed food, snacks, or water bottles with their child unless otherwise communicated.

Because of allergies and dietary needs, food policies will be shared before the school year begins.
